Livestock Management

The Columbia Basin Conservation District is committed to providing technical and cost-share assistance for livestock management, on large and small scales to support the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) that protect water, soil and air quality.

 

We work with:
 

  • Dairies

  • Feedlots

  • Confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs)

  • Small farm operations

  • Federal and State Agencies

 

We assist by:

 

  • Providing technical and cost-share assistance for projects

  • Developing nutrient management plans

  • Prescribed grazing plans 

  • Serving as a liaison between operators and agencies; etc.
