Garden & Worm Bin Celebration at Vanguard Academy

Columbia Basin Conservation District is proud to partner with Vanguard Academy in celebrating their incredible student-led garden and worm bin projects! Join us on Thursday, April 17, from 6–7 PM at Vanguard Academy in Moses Lake for an inspiring, hands-on evening focused on conservation, creativity, and community.

This event showcases the hard work of Vanguard students who’ve cultivated a thriving garden and built their own worm bins—all with a focus on sustainable practices. We’re especially excited to feature a future Water Wise Demonstration Garden, a resource that highlights smart, efficient ways to garden in the Columbia Basin’s unique climate.

What to Expect:

  • A showcase of student-led conservation projects

  • Opportunities to explore water-wise gardening techniques

  • Local plants and sustainable garden products for sale

Available for purchase:

  • Native Plants & Seeds

  • Coleus, Spider Plants, & Potatoes

  • Worm Compost & Fertilizer

We can’t wait to see you there!
