Highlighting Local Conservation: CBCD Featured on Washington Grown
What a great way to start the year! The Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD) and the Odessa Groundwater Replacement Program (OGWRP) were recently featured on Washington Grown, Season 13, Episode 2. The segment highlights how CBCD is working with local farmers to replace deep groundwater wells with irrigation water from the Columbia Basin Project.

Wetlands Restoration: Native Planting Project Begins North of Moses Lake
The Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD) has begun a multi-phase native planting project on nearly 70 acres of ponds and wetlands located north of Moses Lake. This long-term restoration effort aims to improve habitat, support wildlife, and strengthen the ecological health of this important wetland complex.

On Thursday, November 13th, Kristina Ribellia, Executive Director of the Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD), and Dr. Sasha Richey McLarty, Assistant Professor at Washington State University, co-presented at the Columbia Basin Development League’s (CBDL) Conference and Annual Meeting held at Big Bend Community College. A mail-in-only election for a board seat on the Columbia Basin Conservation District (Conservation District) will be held on March 10, 2026, at 903 W. 3rd AVE., Moses Lake WA. 98837. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote.

CBCD Now Accepting Applications for OGWRP EL 80.6 On-Farm Financial Assistance
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 10, 2025
The Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD) is accepting applications starting immediately, until December 12, 2025, for the “Odessa Groundwater Replacement Program (OGWRP) EL 80.6 On-farm Project” Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) project. This RCPP includes lands in Adams County (see map below).
