Highlighting Local Conservation: CBCD Featured on Washington Grown

What a great way to start the year! The Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD) and the Odessa Groundwater Replacement Program (OGWRP) were recently featured on Washington Grown, Season 13, Episode 2. The segment highlights how CBCD is working with local farmers to replace deep groundwater wells with irrigation water from the Columbia Basin Project.

Through OGWRP and CBCD programs, farmers receive support to implement sustainable irrigation solutions that benefit both their operations and the region’s water resources. The feature showcases how smart planning, innovation, and strong local partnerships are shaping a more sustainable future for agriculture in the Columbia Basin.
