Legal Notice: CBCD Notice of Adopted Election Resolution & Appointed Position Available

A mail-in-only election for a board seat on the Columbia Basin Conservation District (Conservation District) will be held on March 10, 2026, at 903 W. 3rd Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837.  Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. The last day and time that an eligible voter can request a ballot from the Conservation District is February 17, 2026, by 4:30 pm.  Ballots can be requested from Columbia Basin Conservation District, Kristina Ribellia, 903 W. 3rd Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837, (509) 765-9618, kristina-ribellia@columbiabasincd.org.  Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Election Day, March 10, 2026, at 4:30 pm. Ballots returned by other means must be returned to 903 W. 3rd Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837, no later than 4:30 pm on Election Day, March 10, 2026.  Candidates must be registered voters residing within the Conservation District.  The filing deadline for candidates to file their candidate-required information is January 29, 2026.  Interested candidates must file their candidate-required information at 903 W. 3rd Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837, no later than 4:30 pm. Candidate-required information will be accepted at that location by in-person delivery, by mail postmarked no later than January 29, 2026, or by email to kristina-ribellia@columbiabasincd.org.  Election procedures are available at the Conservation District office. Additionally, a board seat on the Columbia Basin Conservation District is available for appointment by the Washington State Conservation Commission in 2026. Conservation district board supervisors are public officials who serve without compensation and set policy and direction for the conservation district. An applicant must be a registered voter in Washington State, and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applicants for appointed positions do not have to live within the district to apply.
